Genio Notes Accreditation

Join us for a 90-minute session on Genio Notes, the note-taking platform that lets students record, transcribe and annotate their lectures in one place, then turn what they captured into something they can actually revise from.

This is our official accreditation session for assessors, advisers and AT trainers. It runs in two parts, so you can build real working knowledge of the platform and then prove it.

The session will be made of two parts:

Training (60 minutes):
We'll walk through Genio Notes end to end, from starting a recording to reviewing with AI-powered study tools.

Accreditation quiz (30 minutes):
Stick around afterwards for an optional multiple-choice quiz. 25 questions, with 20 correct needed to pass. It's open book, designed to reinforce what you've just seen rather than catch you out, and we will be on hand throughout if you get stuck. Pass it, and you'll earn your Genio Notes Accreditation badge and certificate, ready to add to your email signature and LinkedIn profile.

During the session, you will learn how to:

  • Record from the microphone, the screen, or both, covering in-person lectures, online seminars and recorded video
  • Launch Genio Notes from the browser extension, and import existing audio files for transcription
  • Capture time-stamped note cards, including text notes, labels, tasks, definitions and URL previews
  • Import PowerPoint and PDF slides, sync them to the recording, and annotate them directly
  • Add images, screenshots, photos and freehand scribbles, and pull text out of any image using OCR
  • Work with the transcript: speaker diarisation, sentence and word highlighting, and posting selections straight into notes
  • Play back from the timeline, the transcript or an individual note card, adjust speed and apply audio clean-up
  • Review efficiently using Reading View, the AI-generated Outline and Quiz Me for active recall
  • Organise events into Collections, search across every event and manage tasks in one list
  • Customise layout, dark mode and colour themes, then print or export notes into other applications
