Marcia, the Agile Learner
Marcia manages dyslexia and medication side effects that impact her concentration. Genio Notes has enabled her to overcome these challenges and improve her academic and professional output.

From struggle to efficiency
As a government employee pursuing a sponsored Master’s degree, Marcia Bermudez has long faced challenges with note taking. Dyslexia, combined with the side effects of long-term medication for a mental health disability, made it difficult for her to capture and process information effectively.
"My note taking was atrocious, unreadable, and even I couldn't comprehend it when I revisited it," she explains. "I could not capture information that was relevant. That was key. I could not process anything that I attempted to write, and it meant that I had to revisit meetings or conversations quite quickly and often."
This not only slowed down her academic progress but also made professional tasks more frustrating and time-consuming.
Everything changed when Marcia discovered Genio Notes.
"I found that it's, I mean, revolutionary in the sense that I can upload my lecture slides into the software and then follow with the slides available all in one application. And then by doing so, I can apply my notes in the recording at certain points of key points."
Instead of relying on rushed, illegible notes, she now links her written thoughts directly to audio recordings. With transcripts generated automatically, she no longer needs to worry about missing or misinterpreting important details.
One feature stood out above the rest: the AI outline.
"And there's a new feature in Glean that sort of captures an AI outline. And I found that, I've become very dependent on that feature because it also then means that it will identify the key points for me. And I don't have to spend hours rereading the entirety of the transcript."
This streamlined review process has saved her countless hours, allowing her to focus more on understanding and applying information rather than struggling to organise it.
With Genio Notes, Marcia’s academic and professional life has transformed.
"So Glean has pretty much reshaped the way I interact, and it's certainly helped significantly with my outputs. And I'm able to work much more agile, produce fast-paced results in a fast paced environment. And it saved me a lot of time with my revisiting of lectures."
What was once a source of stress and wasted time has become a seamless, efficient process that enables her to thrive.
For Marcia, Genio Notes is more than just a tool. It is a support system that empowers her to overcome the challenges of dyslexia and the cognitive impact of her medication. By providing a structured, reliable way to capture, organise, and review information, it has given her the confidence and agility to excel both in her studies and her demanding role.
