Genio Notes' positive impact on student success across different institution types
Here, we take a deeper look into our Learner Impact Report, breaking down the impacts at three different institution types; public, community and private colleges.

At Genio, we're constantly striving to understand and amplify the positive impact our platform has on student success. To ensure we continue on the right path and maintain our positive impact for all learners, each year we conduct our Learner Impact survey.
We conducted our annual Learner Impact survey to evaluate student engagement with Genio Notes, identify areas of strength and improvement to enhance user engagement and academic success.
Key metrics, such as student retention and course completion rates were assessed, addressing current trends of declining student persistence. The survey gauged the perceived value of Genio Notes, its impact on academic performance (grades), self-efficacy, stress levels, and overall academic capability.
Data for this analysis was collected through two surveys administered in October 2024 and February 2025, yielding feedback from 600 Genio Notes users within the United States.
Through this, we’re able to get a picture of how Genio Notes influences student outcomes across various educational settings. While every student's learning journey is deeply personal, these overarching trends highlight the transformative power of effective learning tools.
While we recently held a webinar unpacking the results, we’ll take a more detailed look into differences across institution types.

Private colleges: Building confidence and fostering enjoyment
At private colleges, students also saw their GPAs increase by an average of +0.12, a 4% rise (from 3.3 to 3.43). The impact here was particularly strong on student confidence and course enjoyment:
