Genio (formerly Glean) Student Ambassadors: Fateh
Meet Fateh, one of our Genio Student Ambassadors. In this introduction, Fateh shares more about overcoming challenges as a disabled international student.

The Genio's Student Ambassador Program is not just about individual success. It's about creating a community of students who help surface useful resources, ensure developing new study habits is interesting, and make navigating academic goals an empowering experience.
Today, we want to introduce you to Fateh and share with you how Genio Notes helped him overcome challenges in Higher Education.
Hi, I am Fateh Mohit Whig! A LLM student in International Law at the University of Bristol and a Commonwealth Scholar.
With the vast amount of complex material to study and a packed schedule to manage, finding effective tools to support my learning has been crucial.
Since I started using Genio Notes in September 2024, it has truly transformed how I engage with my studies, making me feel empowered and in control of my academic success.
Overcoming challenges
Studying International Law involves navigating dense legal texts, attending thought-provoking lectures, and staying up to date with rapidly evolving global issues. As a disabled student, I’ve often faced additional hurdles, from managing energy levels to ensuring I don’t miss critical points in lectures due to accessibility barriers.
Before Genio Notes, I struggled to keep my notes organized and comprehensive enough to fully capture the essence of each lecture both in school and at BA level. The pressure to stay focused while simultaneously taking notes sometimes detracted from my ability to immerse myself in the subject matter.
Discovering Genio Notes
When I first learned about Genio Notes, I was intrigued by its promise to simplify note taking and enhance the learning experience. From the moment I began using it in September, I quickly realized its potential to meet my unique needs.
Genio Notes’ ability to record lectures and allow me to revisit them at my own pace has been a game changer.
Instead of stressing about catching every detail during the session, I can now focus on understanding the core ideas, knowing I can review and expand on my notes later. This flexibility has given me the freedom to engage more deeply with the content.
