Genio Template AI Policy

AI is changing the way learners approach their academic studies. In 2025, student use of AI is surging, with almost all students (92%) now using AI, up from 66% in 2024.
And yet, despite this dramatic increase in adoption, 91% of learners remain worried about breaking rules with AI, reporting a strong sentiment that current guidance from their institutions is either lacking, ambiguous, or applied inconsistently.
AI has the potential to combat many of the deep-rooted problems facing education systems and learners themselves: from a narrow and shallow curriculum, to entrenched social immobility

As such, not only is this void in support creating conflict within education provision circles, it simultaneously fails to equip learners with the skills they need to enter a workforce where AI fluency is increasingly essential.
For institutions, there can be no avoiding the need to evolve and adapt both teaching and examinations to ensure the maintain integrity in line with technological developments but also to ensure the digital divide shrinks, rather than expands.
A critical first step is to implement an AI policy. By providing clear guidance on appropriate tools and applications, institutions can protect both their educators and their learners alike, maintaining comprehensive academic integrity while adapting to the ever evolving technological environment.
